Service purpose

Inkshelf is a web application for cataloguing books, tracking reading, keeping notes and quotes, importing or exporting data and, when chosen by the user, sharing a public selection of read books.

Account and security

Users must provide accurate information and keep their password and reset links confidential. They must promptly report unauthorised use of their account.

Sign-up is open. The publisher may restrict or suspend access in cases of abuse, attempted compromise or breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access another user’s account or data.
• Do not use the service to distribute unlawful or malicious content or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Do not bypass technical limits, disrupt the service or automate access in a way that creates abusive load.

User data and content

Users retain their rights in notes, quotes and other content they add. They grant only the permission needed to provide the requested features. Users must have the necessary rights to content they import or publish.

Exports are provided to support data portability. Users remain responsible for keeping their own copies.

Sharing and third-party services

Users control public sharing and should check what they make visible. Book metadata, covers, email delivery and notifications may depend on third-party services described in the privacy policy.

Availability and changes

The publisher takes reasonable steps to maintain the service, without guaranteeing continuous availability or the absence of errors. Features may change for technical, security or product reasons.

At the date of this update, the available features are provided without payment. Any commercial change will be communicated appropriately.

Account deletion

Users can delete their account from settings. Deletion removes data attached to the account as described in the privacy policy.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. For any question, users may contact the publisher before taking formal action.
